Mississippi Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, provide or remove an official booking photo, post bond, or obtain a government record for you. For a current answer or a copy of a record, contact the agency or court that holds it.
Which Mississippi Office Holds It?
County bookings are handled locally, so the sheriff or jail for the county of arrest is usually the right source for a booking record or photo. MDOC records cover state-prison profiles, not county jail bookings. For MDOC public records, the department directs requests in writing through its GovQA request route. Use the current official instructions to submit a record request and see which office handles it.
Use the record type and custody stage to choose an office. A county roster may show a recent booking or current jail custody; a court clerk can confirm a case result; MDOC searches state-prison profiles and parolees. A missing online result does not settle a custody or case question.
- For an arrest in a known county, use the County Directory to reach that county’s roster, feed, and records information.
- For the booking record or photo request path, start with the statewide arrest-record page.
- For a state-prison profile or parole status, use MDOC’s offender and parolee searches. A parole result is not a warrant finding.
- For a person listed as wanted statewide, check the official Fugitive List and follow its safety instructions.
- For federal prison custody, use the Bureau of Prisons locator; it does not provide a public booking-photo gallery.
- For current ICE or CBP custody, use the ICE detainee locator and its identity requirements.
